Storm Damage

Filing a Roof Insurance Claim in Texas

After a hail storm or high-wind event, knowing what to do — and when to do it — can be the difference between a fully covered repair and a claim denial. Texas insurance policies have strict timelines and documentation requirements that many homeowners don't know about until it's too late.

At Remedied Roofing, we've helped hundreds of DFW homeowners navigate the claims process. We inspect your roof, document the damage with photos and written assessments, and work directly alongside your adjuster so nothing gets missed or undervalued.

Storm Claim Steps

1

Call Us Before Your Adjuster

Get an independent inspection first so you know the full scope of damage — not just what the insurance adjuster identifies on their own.

2

We Document Everything

Photos, written damage report, material specs — we prepare a complete damage package that matches the adjuster's scope line by line.

3

Adjuster Meeting — We're There

We meet your adjuster on-site to make sure every damaged area is identified and properly included in the estimate.

4

Claim Approved — Work Begins

Once approved, we schedule your repair or replacement and handle everything through final inspection and sign-off.

The Impact-Resistance Discount
Most Homeowners Don't Know About

If your roof has been treated or replaced with qualifying impact-resistant materials, Texas law allows your insurance carrier to reduce your wind/hail premium — sometimes by 20–30%.

What Is TDI Form PC068?

TDI Form PC068 is a Texas Department of Insurance certification document used as the basis for impact-resistance discount evaluation. When your roof meets qualifying impact-resistance standards, this documentation — combined with your contractor's certificate and product test data — is submitted to your insurer to trigger the discount review.

With our GoNano Nu Roof Revive and Fortify treatments, we prepare all the documentation your insurer needs: the GoNano Certificate of Application, product impact test data (referenced to UL 2218 and FM 4473 standards), and guidance on what to say to your agent.

Note: While PC068 is formally a windstorm certification form, many Texas insurers use equivalent certification and product documentation as the basis for impact-resistance premium discounts on standard homeowner's policies. We recommend confirming the exact documentation your carrier accepts with your agent before scheduling treatment.

What Qualifies for the Discount?

GoNano Nu Roof Revive or Fortify treatment (existing shingle enhancement)
Products tested to UL 2218 and/or FM 4473 standards
Documented by a licensed contractor with proper certification
